Sermon

Well, hello there my friends, it's so good to be with you all today. Today, I want to talk to you about the importance of keeping a growth-oriented mindset and avoiding stagnation in life. You see, God created us to grow and develop, to fulfill our purpose and reach our full potential. And in order to do that, we must be willing to embrace change, to learn new things, and to push ourselves out of our comfort zones. In the book of Philippians, the apostle Paul writes, "I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:14) This is a reminder that we must keep moving forward, always striving to become better versions of ourselves. Stagnation, on the other hand, can be dangerous. When we become complacent, when we stop seeking growth and development, we become stagnant. We become stuck in a rut, and we miss out on the opportunities that God has for us. In the book of Proverbs, it says, "Without counsel, plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors they are established." (Proverbs 15:22) This means that we must seek wise counsel, and be open to the advice and guidance of others. We must be willing to learn from those who have gone before us, and be humble enough to admit when we need help. So my friends, let us be like Paul, pressing on toward the goal of becoming all that God has called us to be. Let us embrace growth and change, and be willing to step out of our comfort zones. And let us seek wise counsel, so that we may be established in our plans and our purpose. Remember, with God all things are possible, and He has a wonderful plan for your life. So keep growing, keep learning, and keep pressing on toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Amen.
